Questions about onboarding
How is this different from a product tour?
Product tours are assembled by hand, run on a fixed script, and fire for everyone whether they needed them or not. FlowBuddy walkthroughs are derived from a recording, start when a user actually asks for help with a task, and follow that user’s real progress.
Do I have to build each walkthrough?
No. Record a task once with the Chrome extension and approve the workflow FlowBuddy derives — that workflow is the walkthrough. There is no step-by-step tour builder to maintain.
What happens when the task spans several pages?
The walkthrough keeps up. It follows the user across navigations and continues from the right step on the new page, until the task is done.
Does the user stay in control?
Always. The assistant highlights and explains; the user clicks. It advances only when a step is actually completed, and the user can stop the walkthrough at any time.
